Another negative fact about Bob’s Bowling Bonanza is the utter lack of creativity in the game itself and in the symbols.  There are only a couple of symbols.  Furthermore, the substitute symbols also acts as a bonus triggering feature.  Would it have been that difficult to create a separate scatter bonus symbol?  The symbols, from highest to least payout, are:  Bob the bowler; a Female bowler; a Trophy; Bowling Shoes; and, three different letter and number combinations.  Bob the Bowler is a bald overweight bushy eye-browed and poorly dressed symbol.  The female bowler actually is the best looking part about the game.  The Trophy and Shoes add to the boring factor of the game.  There is a Scattered Bowling Ball symbol.  It offers a low payout and really adds nothing to the game.

Another sign of a lack of creativity is the bonus feature.  It could have been made much more creatively but instead it feels like it is only half-way complete when it finishes.  The Perfect Game Feature appears when the Strike symbol appears anywhere on Reels 1, 3, and 5 at the same time.  Each of these symbols will then turn into a bowling lane.  Gamers need to click on one lane at a time.  When they click on a lane, a character bowls a ball down the lane.  The pin amount that gets knocked over equals a winning credit amount that the gamers win.  If the character bowls a strike, then the winning amount is doubled.

There is another feature that is purely based on chance and luck.  After every winning spin, players can click on the Gamble tab.  Here, they are taken to a different screen where they have the chance to double, quadruple, or lose all their winnings.  If players want to try to double their winnings from the previous winning spin, then they must select whether or not they think the faced-down card is Red or Black.  If they choose incorrectly, they lose all their winnings as this is basically a double or nothing round.  If they win, however, then they can try to double that amount or collect their winnings and return to the game.  If players want to try to quadruple their wins, then they must select which suit they think the faced-down card is.  The same rules apply for selecting correctly and incorrectly as attempting to double their winnings.

An overall boring game with smaller symbols, poor graphics, and difficult to read lettering, Bob’s Bowling Bonanza is anything but a hoot.  In addition to losing their money, gamers will be unsatisfied and frustrated with their gaming experience.
